Dimitrije Kolarević

Dimitrije Kolarević was born in Kralupi (Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina), on 14 March 1951. He finished secondary art school in Novi Sad in 1972. After finishing pedagogic college - art section in 1974. he graduated from Academy of Art - painting section in 1978. in Novi Sad. Now he lives in Bački Jarak. He participated in numerous artists’ colonies and was rewarded many times. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina, currently employed in the Ministry of education of Serbia as an educational counselor for South Bačka and Srem county - head office in Novi Sad.

He has started painting in 1972, when he had his first solo exibition. His work includes oil on canvas, dry pastel, watercolour (aquarelle). In the last 20 years his major expressive technique has been watercolour. Predominant watercolour themes are landscape, portrait, nudes and animals.
